Avian Influenza (Bird Flu)

City of Cedar Rapids is keeping an eye on the Avian (Bird) Flu. Although the Center for Disease Control (CDC) states that "The current risk to Americans from the H5N1 bird flu outbreak in Asia is low," the City is working with Linn County Influenza Taskforce to develop a plan to ensure we are prepared for a potential outbreak and that we will maintain essential service to the citizens of this community should an outbreak occur in Cedar Rapids.
